I clocked 11 Tbus on first spotting trip in November, 7 TBus on this trip of which only 2 were new sightings. Is it possible to work out an estimate for the total number of TBus on this route from this data? Hummmm. No new TBus on camera yet BUT she does have a number 4 - 001. Spotted that last week. Brilliant.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMxsLSlANwoGtZ8LIyOttuoTTL1aYFGcaRa8iHB-zv-DVc3U06SINcq149F_fPhloVqZP92vWF8ERg1EL-Rlky4S4sAqQzuofROb6rn1cvhISQGwDp-zu8mS-WUXhrqyYXV3tWbhp2Pz0/s1600-h/tbus+4-146+nearside+front.jpg"><img alt="" border="0" height="400" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5005709810112197026" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMxsLSlANwoGtZ8LIyOttuoTTL1aYFGcaRa8iHB-zv-DVc3U06SINcq149F_fPhloVqZP92vWF8ERg1EL-Rlky4S4sAqQzuofROb6rn1cvhISQGwDp-zu8mS-WUXhrqyYXV3tWbhp2Pz0/w350-h400/tbus+4-146+nearside+front.jpg" style="cursor: hand; display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center;" width="350" /></a> 4-168 looks quite smart, unlike poor old 4-146. In fact on the following Thursday, I passed 146 broken down on Peace Avenue. She had been heading East.<br /><div></div><br /><div></div><br /><div></div><br /><div></div>Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15224056535684710697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2729921411592851111.post-14950476207743426422006-11-25T01:19:00.000-08:002006-11-30T18:07:18.805-08:00Trolley Bus Depot<a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/x/blogger2/3751/333242359813580/1600/212180/depot%20building.jpg"><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/x/blogger2/3751/333242359813580/320/339874/depot%20building.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div>The TBus depot is in the west of the city, about 1 mile from Peace Avenue, heading north. What differentiates the classes. Of course, this is going to take some detective work and many hours of dedicated research!!!! Goody, goody. Anyway, the first obvious differentiating feature is the box on the top of some <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" onclick="BLOG_clickHandler(this)">TBus’</span>s. Looks like an air conditioning unit. Hu<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" onclick="BLOG_clickHandler(this)">mm. </span>Needs further investigation.<br /><br /><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger2/3751/333242359813580/1600/green%20badge.jpg"><img style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 164px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 158px" height="176" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger2/3751/333242359813580/320/green%20badge.jpg" width="199" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger2/3751/333242359813580/1600/tb%204-101%20badge.jpg"><img style="FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; WIDTH: 122px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 144px" height="152" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger2/3751/333242359813580/320/tb%204-101%20badge.jpg" width="99" border="0" /></a><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 141px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 151px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" height="195" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger2/3751/333242359813580/320/tb%204-068%20badge.jpg" width="215" border="0" /><br /><p>And of course there are the more obvious di<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" onclick="BLOG_clickHandler(this)">fferences….b</span>adges. I know what you are thinking, but you have to start somewhere, don’t you? I am guessing but I think this is the oldest TBus spotted so far based on the 4-068 number. She is going east on Peace Avenue.<br /><br /><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/x/blogger2/3751/333242359813580/320/824084/tb%204-168%20offside%20front.jpg" border="0" />I was taken a bit by surprise when 4-068 reappeared about 20 mins later going in the opposite direction. Route 4 leaves Peace Avenue not far just east of my office going south towards the railway station and comes back in a loop to the Avenue.. This route needs investigating. <br /><br /> <img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/x/blogger2/3751/333242359813580/320/311567/tb%204-170%20nearside%20front.jpg" border="0" /><br /> And this I think is the youngest TBus seen so far, 4-170. Route 2 goes the whole length of Peace Avenue. There is a brand new TBus on this route, built in UB. I keep seeing her but not with a camera!!! But I will track her down. And then give her a blog entry on her own!! I cannot wait to have a ride.Davidhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15224056535684710697noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2729921411592851111.post-61604393331448608192006-10-20T01:15:00.000-07:002006-10-21T00:21:41.943-07:00The UB Trolley Bus<div align="left"> </div><div align="center"><a href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger2/3751/333242359813580/1600/trolleybus.jpg"><img style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger2/3751/333242359813580/320/trolleybus.jpg" border="0" /></a><em> <strong>Introducing the <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" onclick="BLOG_clickHandler(this)">Ulaanbaatar</span> Trolley Bus.</strong></em></div><div align="center"><br /></div><div align="center"><strong><em></em></strong></div><div align="center"><br /></div><div align="center"></div><div align="center"><br /></div><div align="center">This blog is to dedicated to the <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" onclick="BLOG_clickHandler(this)">UB</span> <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" onclick="BLOG_clickHandler(this)">Tolley</span> Buses which I have fallen in love with.
